Thanks so much for the great left-handed guitars you have got for me via
"the best Wife in the world!" Ever since you pulled off the
great birthday miracle a year-and-a-half ago by having my Dark Tobacco Sunburst
Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul made and delivered timely for me given the
short notice you were given, you have been the only place we go for my
guitars. Since that time you have also provided me with a beautiful
Martin Dreadnought cut-away acoustic, an ebony Little Martin, and my most recent
Christmas gift, the one of kind, Orange Tiger Gibson Custom Shop Class 5 Les
Paul! This most recent guitar is not only amazing in its beauty and one
of kind nature, but sounds incredible plugged in and acoustically! You
and Larry take good care of my Wife and I and you seem to know exactly what we
like. This is what all guitar shops should strive to be like. We
are looking forward to our next purchases (maybe a Martin OM or 000, Gibson
Custom Shop '56 Gold Top, et al). We look forward to visiting you in Houston
soon. Thanks for all you do for us Jim and Larry, it's really
appreciated. Any more surprises the best Wife in the world has not told
I've known Jimmy since I moved
to Houston in 1981 and sold Him
my 1966 Gibson Firebird III.
After the sale I came in and
purchased a Rickenbacker 360-12v64.
Then about a week later, Jimmy told me
that Gibson was going to build the J-160e
left handed, my next purchase.
Over the years, Jimmy has always
been able to get me any left handed
guitars I have needed or wanted.
Thank you Jimmy! You're the best

Thanks to my friends at Southpaw
I look forward to visiting the Store
and losing myself for three or four
days playing all those luscious lefties
- Ira Siegel (World Famous Session Guitarist)
- Alex Young (Soon to be famous lefty)
Thank you and Southpaw so much. I look forward to practicing at the end of my duty each day now. By time
I go home next year I should be pretty good.
Happy holidays to you and your family!!!
Your Lefty friend,

Brandon was quite thrilled with his new weapon. I haven't been able to
get him to remove the white paper Gibson tag because he's apparently
trying to extend its newness . If they made something for
guitars like the stuff they make for used cars ("That New Car Smell"),
he'd probably have begun spraying it on by now.

"If you are a lefty, Southpaw
Guitars is THE place for you to buy guitars. You won't find as wide
an assortment of brands and models for lefties anywhere else. What sets
them apart, though, is their desire to make you a happy customer. If
you are lucky enough to live within driving distance, then drive on over and be
in lefty heaven! If you have to have the guitar shipped, sight unseen,
then you are still in luck,I recently purchased a Gibson ES-335
that was cherry gloss, figured top, 60s neck and it was the most beautiful
electric guitar I have ever seen. Unfortunately, it was damaged in
shipping and I had to send it back. It can be repaired to "good as
or better than new" and I am sure its new player will love the
guitar. When I told Jim at Southpaw about the damage he came to the
rescue for me. He immediately contacted Gibson and obtained a
fresh-off-the-line ES-335 in Cherry gloss, figured top, and 60s neck.- an exact
replacement. Southpaw shipped it right away. I am
thrilled to have my dream guitar and I am a happy customer of Southpaw
Guitars. Only a specialist in lefites could have pulled this off.
We lefties have a hard time finding guitars. Let Southpaw make your
dreams come true.

my experience: email
I just purchased a left-handed
000-18 Golden Era Sunburst Martin from Southpaw Guitars. It sounds even better than it looks. I am a scientific editor in the twilight of
my career and have had a lifelong interest in learning to play an instrument. Following some medical issues, I decided that
life is too short to postpone my long-term goals. This led me into Martin territory, and Larry
at Southpaw was incredibly helpful in finding a guitar that would meet my
standards and motivate me to learn to play.
He succeeded admirably. I want to
play and write songs like Townes Van Zandt.
Thanks to my friends at Southpaw for helping me start.
